Having a LinkedIn Profile and asking people around to visit for the purpose of increasing your private connections or give endorsements is not going to make anything wondrous. LinkedIn is the professional networking account, and placement of one or two odd paragraphs here or there (WITH/WITHOUT THE PHOTO) will not bring out that professional appeal. It gives an awkward feeling about you as THE PROFESSIONAL.
“LinkedIn Page is your WHOLE AND SOLE account.” It is the larger than the life image that you portray. You cannot create a strong LinkedIn profile by viewing what others have written in their profiles. Many people have the habit of taking references, and then write –“WE ARE THE BEST.” Everyone wants to be RICH and FAMOUS, but at LinkedIn, it is has its own way.
No matter, you are the staunch supporter of your language or culture, but LinkedIn prefers and popularizes the content and descriptions written in English Language.
Let’s start with the SUMMARY
Your LinkedIn summary should be the gist of what you have done all these years as a professional. It should not be telling or speechifying people that you ought or intend to do in the future. I have seen hundreds of LinkedIn profiles saying something, which they don’t themselves know about.
COPY and PASTE stuff is habit forming of the FOOLS, and this behavior is prevalent on a large sale on the LinkedIn’s Personal and Business Pages. The working professionals are driven by one intention: To make an Impressive Representation of their Work and Portfolio.
The biggest foolery is created by technical guys, most often, as they write down the technical stuff and codes with nothing else to explain about their acumen or general conduct.
“ONE MINUTE IS ENOUGH TO SKIM THROUGH A WELL CREATED LinkedIn PROFILE. World will come to know about you and your profession in JUST ONE MINUTE. YOU CANNOT AFFORD TO STAND ON THE LOSING POINT.”
How to define Your Education
If you have something impressive to show in your education; TELL IT NICELY AND IN FORM OF AN INTERESTING STORY. EXPLAIN ABOUT YOUR FORTE AND NOT ABOUT YOUR UNIVERSITY’s SPECIALTY.
PEOPLE WANT TO KNOW ABOUT YOU.
GOOD EDUCATION BRINGS THE SUSPENSION OF DISBELIEF for the AVERAGE LinkedIn VISITOR, but if that VISITOR is an HONORED professional, he or she will be interested to know about your SPECIALTIES AS A PROFESSIONAL.
Don’t try to SHOW-OFF your FORTE on the Subjects that you don’t have the mastered. For example, people from the Non English speaking countries often try to sermonize on English, while the subjects they have studied ARE Engineering, Computer Science etc. It is fine that they have studied everything in English, but they forget one thing:
“ENGLISH IS A SCIENCE AND NOT AN ART and just a LANGUAGE. IT IS AS TECHNICAL AS PHYSICS. BEING TECHNICAL DOESN’T MAKE YOU MORE EDUCATED AT ALL.”
LinkedIn is Not the Facebook. You better not ASK YOUR MATH PROBLEMS OR SHOWOFF YOUR ATTIRE or as the matter of FACT TRY TO PRESENT YOUR ATTITUDE. All of it is COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL IN NATURE.
